Poster design for Concertgebouw x Amsterdam Dance Event: “SURINAME RISING”, celebrating 50 years of Surinamese Independence through music.

Since this event represents a journey through time, I wanted the illustration to capture the blend between live surinamese traditional music and contemporary electronic sounds, connecting cultures and generations.

It was also a great opportunity to work with my friend @rosselchaslie, a talented Surinamese artist who contributed to the concept and art direction, and shared precious knowledge about Surinamese culture.
